New Hotel Opening

Andaz Bali: 127 rooms and 22 pool villas directly on the beach of Sanur

Five years late, the new Andaz Bali has finally celebrated its long-awaited opening. The Hyatt brand’s first Indonesian resort is located in the heart of the popular resort of Sanur on the south-east coast of Bali and has been designed as a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Balinese village.

Around a “village square” that forms the centre of the resort, 127 rooms and suites ranging in size from 66 to 125 square metres are spread out in a tropical garden setting. They are all equipped with a balcony or terrace and presented in a contemporary Balinese style with materials such as bamboo, andesite stone, marble and teak.

22 villas with private pools

In addition, there are 18 Garden Villas and four Beach Villas with private pools. The 580 square metre beach villas have two bedrooms, a spacious living room and a terrace – only a few steps away from the sea. Those who do not have their own pool can use the infinity pool directly on the beach or a smaller, quiet pool in one of the inner courtyards.

Directly on the beach is also the “Fisherman’s Club Bar” with beach club ambience as a modern version of the popular seafood restaurants on Jimbaran beach. The “Wok Wok” with Asian and Indonesian delicacies, the “Fire Fox” with grilled meat, the “Blue Oven” with fried specialities and the “Deli & Bakery” for coffee and desserts are also grouped around the village square.

New hotel, but no spa

Surprisingly, the Andaz Bali does not have its own spa. Guests can, however, use the “Shankha Spa” in the adjacent, recently extensively renovated Hyatt Regency Bali, where, in addition to various wellness treatments, a fitness centre, sauna, steam bath, hot and cold plunge pools, a yoga area and an adults-only pool are available.

Standard rates with breakfast start at EUR 229 per night this autumn. A Suite can be booked from EUR 337, a Garden Villa from EUR 644 and a Beach Villa from EUR 1,142. You can deduct around EUR 23 from the member rate in each case. As the new Andaz Bali is a category 4 hotel, World of Hyatt members can book a free night in a standard room for 15,000 points.
