Anantara Kihavah Maldives presents the largest pool residences in the world

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas recently boasts the largest private pool residences in the world. In recent months, the island’s seven luxury accommodations – five on the beach and two over the water – have been redesigned at a cost of several million US dollars. The “Four Bedroom Beach Pool Residence” is the crown jewel of the collection with 2,000 square metres.

Up to twelve adults – or eight adults and four children – can fit comfortably in this four-bedroom residence with private beach access. The pool should not be crowded either, as it has been extended to 20 by 6 metres. The four other beach residences offer living space of 1,330 square metres with two and 1,770 square metres with three bedrooms. The pools here, however, measure “only” 16 by 6 metres.

Residence with spa and gym

The two over-the-water residences feature an infinity pool on the sundeck, two bedrooms, a living and dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a kitchen for a total of 1,500 square metres. With the redesign, the villas have also gained a small gym with the latest TechnoGym equipment, a spa treatment room for couples and a glass-bottomed whirlpool bath.

Rattan details, woven straw rugs and teak furniture set the tropical atmosphere of all residences at Anantara Kihavah Maldives, while straw-covered kajan palm roofs and balau hardwood floors on the expansive outdoor decks emphasise the Maldivian heritage. The pools are tiled with natural sukabumhi stone, offering an ever-changing overtone of green and blue with every movement of the sun.

Bookable from EUR 5,800 per night

Guests have their own villa host to take care of all their needs. A wine sommelier, a personal chef and a babysitting service can be booked on request. Prices for one night start at EUR 10,200 for the “Four Bedroom Beach Pool Residence” and EUR 5,800 for the “Two Bedroom Overwater Pool Residence”.

Opened in 2011, Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas is located in the Baa Atoll of the Maldives and has a total of 79 villas with private pools – either directly over the water or on the beach. The restaurants “Fire”, “Salt”, “Sky” and the award-winning underwater restaurant “Sea” promise exquisite cuisine. Of course, a luxurious Anantara Spa above the water is not to be missed. The resort can be reached from Malé International Airport by seaplane in 35 minutes.
