Qatar Airways

After Emirates and Etihad Shutdown: Qatar Airways increases frequencies and uses A380 again

We already reported here that Qatar Airways will soon and until further notice be the only usable airline in the Middle East, as Emirates, Etihad, Saudia, Kuwait Airways, Oman Air and also smaller airlines such as flydubai or Air Arabia will or have been grounded. Gulf Air with Hub Bahrain no longer allows transit for many people who have recently been to various countries. In addition, many European and Asian airlines have already cut their connections between Europe and Asia or have cut back significantly.

Qatar Airways meanwhile continues to allow transit to Doha (but not entry). As the only remaining usable airline in the region, Qatar Airways is probably currently experiencing an enormous load surge in rebooking of other airlines. This shows that Qatar Airways would like to increase flight frequencies again over the coming days and weeks, and the planned A380 grounding will also be canceled to meet demand.
