New Hotel Opening

100 villas in the North Male Atoll: Ritz-Carlton comes for the first time to the Maldives

Ritz-Carlton celebrates its premiere in the Maldives in May 2021: The new The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is currently under construction on the Fari Islands in North Male Atoll – about 50 minutes by speedboat from Malé International Airport. The 100 villas on the beach and above the water all have private infinity pools on the spacious sun deck.

Even the “Ocean Pool Villa” as a standard category with one bedroom already has a living space of 150 square metres. The two-bedroom beach and waterfront villas are 400 square metres – and the “Ritz-Carlton Estate” with its private beach, private spa, fully equipped kitchen, butler and private chef even measures 1,500 square metres. The modern design of all villas is by the renowned studio Mk27, Kengo Kuma & Associates and Kerry Hill Architects.

However, the Fari Islands will have to share the first Ritz-Carlton in the Maldives with two resorts of the Capella and Patina brands. The three resorts will be connected by the “Fari Marina” as the common heart of the archipelago. A beach club, boutiques, restaurants, bars and cafes will be available here. In addition, the real estate developer Pontiac Land from Singapore is planning a “Fari Village” for the resort employees on one of the islands, which as a hospitality campus will also be dedicated to training the next generation of hoteliers.

Bookings at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands can be made as early as 1 May 2021. Rates start at USD 1,350 per villa per night with breakfast. In addition, there are taxes and fees (a total of USD 325 per villa per night) and a “local fee” of USD 900 per person per stay. This could be the price for the transfers, but this has not yet been confirmed.
